On Monday October 30, Greenpeace, in cooperation with distributor Paramount Classics and Participant Productions, presented at a press conference to the media the film directed by Davis Guggenheim, An Inconvenient Truth (An Inconvenient Truth ).
The story talks about the passionate delivery of a man determined to expose the myths and misconceptions about global warming and its prevention. This man is former U.S. vice president, Al Gore, who after losing the 2000 election decided to change course and go to help save the planet.
Is because the world is sitting on a ticking time bomb. If most of the world's scientists are right, we have just ten years to avert a major disaster that could enter the planet's climate into a destructive spiral with extreme temperatures, floods, droughts, epidemics and heat waves so far unknown. Prepared for a disaster for men.
Produced by Laurie David, Lawrence Bender and Scott Z. Burns. Coproducers are Jeff Skoll, Davis Guggenheim, Diane Weyermann, Ricky Strauss and Jeff Ivers. The co-producer is Lesley Chilcott.
The documentary also clearly explaining the facts and make some predictions, tells the story of Al Gore, using wit, intelligence and hope, and shows that global warming can no longer be seen as a political issue, but as the greatest moral challenge that confronts our civilization.
