Salt-pickled plum paste
Use to add a lively tartness to sushi, salad dressings, dips, spreads, sauces and cooked vegetables. Spread a little on sweet corn as a scrumptious alternative to butter and salt.
This deliciously tart and versatile seasoning is made from the finest quality ume (Japanese plums), which have been naturally pickled the slow, traditional way. The shiso herb is added to impart its rich red colour and the plums are pitted and ground to make this unique zesty puree.
